The forum’s sessions were launched with an opening speech delivered by Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, during which he affirmed that the Emirates Council for Sharia Fatwa for this conference reflects its pivotal role in issuing discreet fatwas, based on the principles of true Sharia, and in what takes into account the variables of time and space, and reinforces the spread of the right Islamic behavior.

He pointed out that His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, is always keen to adhere to the tolerant teachings of Islam and consolidate its higher values, as well as affirms the importance of targeted initiatives that achieve the purposes of the Sharia glue, and enhance the moral and behavioral structures in society.
