Europe security at a turning point

European Commission President Ursula von der Lain warned that Europe is at a “turning point”.
Her statement came upon her arrival in Paris on Monday, to attend an emergency meeting of European leaders to discuss the sudden shift in Washington’s position on the Ukraine war.

Security in Europe

On the “X” platform, “Europe’s security is at a turning point. Yes, it comes to Ukraine, but it also relates to us.
She added: We need to have a mentality that realizes how urgently said. We need an increase in defense. We need both things immediately. “
The leaders of the main European powers in France had gathered to determine strategies after Trump surprised his allies by launching efforts with Russia to end the war.

A peace agreement in Ukraine

European Council President Antonio Costa stated that the meeting is “the beginning of an operation that will continue with the participation of all partners committed to peace and security in Europe,” and wrote on “X” that “the European Union and its member states will play a central role in this process.”
Europe is trying hard to develop a plan to ensure the sustainability of any peace agreement in Ukraine, while Britain said it will be ready to deploy peacekeepers if necessary.
The leaders of Britain, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland and Spain participate in the Paris meeting, as well as the leaders of the European Council, the European Commission and NATO.
