44 male and female fighters are competing in the Arab and international versions of "Emirates warriors"

Abu Dhabi, March 26 / WAM / The “Emirates Warriors” Mixed Martial Arts Championship competitions will begin tomorrow, which will be held over two days, at Al Khabisi Hall in the Abu Dhabi Exhibition Center in Al Ain, through the 68th Arab and 69th international editions, with the participation of 44 male and female fighters competing in 22 bouts, and the competition includes 3 titles.

During the press conference held yesterday in Al Ain, the tournament’s organizing committee revealed the details of the event and the champions participating in the competitions, in the presence of Fouad Darwish, Chairman of the Organizing Committee and CEO of Palms Sports Company, which organizes the event, which is being sponsored by the Abu Dhabi Culture and Tourism Authority and the Abu Dhabi Sports Council.

The competitions in the Arabic version begin on Friday, with 12 bouts, with the participation of 24 male and female fighters, representing 9 countries, while the 69th international version competitions will be held on Saturday, and will witness 10 bouts, with the participation of 20 male and female fighters, representing 13 countries.

The main event of the Arabic version includes a confrontation between the Moroccan fighter Xavier Allawi, the former title holder, and the Palestinian Rani Saada in the bantamweight division, in an upcoming fight. He will also meet in the joint fight between the Egyptian Maysara Muhammad and the Moroccan Badr Atef, who is making his first participation in the tournament.

As for the international edition, which will be held on Saturday, it will witness a strong fight to determine the champion of the first stage of the flyweight division, and it brings together the Azerbaijani Asaf Shorbarov and the Brazilian Adriano Ramos for the bantamweight title, and the Brazilian Caio Machado will also meet with the Russian Mugammed Tokalvov to determine the lightweight champion.

Fouad Darwish stressed that the tournament is witnessing a remarkable presence of elite fighters from various parts of the world, which reflects the important status of the event on the international scene, and its ability to attract the most prominent names in the sport of mixed martial arts.

He pointed out that this distinguished presence of male and female fighters comes in light of the safe and stable atmosphere that the UAE enjoys, where life goes on normally, and major sporting events continue unaffected, a clear indication of the high readiness and professional organization.
