The numbers are a candidate for the increase .. 5,000 people were killed in the fighting in the East Congo

The Congolese government announced that at least five thousand people died in the fighting around Juma, the capital of North Kivo, East Congo.
Government spokesman Patrick Moyaya said at a press conference on Tuesday evening that more than five thousand bodies have been buried so far.
However, based on the number of patients from hospitals and other health facilities, the Ministry of Health said that the number of dead was a candidate to increase to eight thousand.
United Nations reports recently referred to 2,900 bodies, and the M23 rebel movement, supported by Rwanda, has occupied the cities of Juma and Bocafo in recent weeks, while the Congolese army has been fighting to control the mineral -rich eastern region.

UN experts say the rebels are also supported by about four thousand Rwandan soldiers, and the United Nations Office for Human Rights has documented serious violence, including rape.
There is also evidence of the forced recruitment of adults and minors by the rebels, as well as launching attacks on hospitals and relief workers.
It is noteworthy that the abundance of raw materials in the eastern Congo is a major element in the current conflict, and it is reported that the M23 rebels took control of the chocolate mines.
The Congo government accuses Rwanda of selling smuggled raw materials from the Democratic Congo in international markets.
