The agreement was signed by Jassim Hussein Thabet, CEO of the group and managing director of “Toua”, Mohamed Jamil Al -Ramahi, CEO of “Masdar”, and Klaudio Descalzi, CEO of “Eni”.

The three companies are cooperating under the agreement to move forward in implementing the tripartite partnership initiative, with a focus on creating a cooperative framework through which a long -term agreement is signed by Italy to purchase renewable energy that is produced in Albania and transferred to Italy.

For the implementation of the project, the “Masdar” and “Energy of Transportation Networks” companies were chosen from the UAE and the Albanian Energy Company “Kish”, while “Eni” was chosen as a possible favorite buyer.

The tripartite framework agreement signed during the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2025 determines the main areas of cooperation between the UAE, Albania and Italy, which includes renewable energy and infrastructure for energy projects, with the aim of enhancing energy security, supporting sustainable development, and accelerating efforts to make a qualitative shift in the energy sector in Mediterranean region.

For his part, Jassim Hussein Thabet said that this agreement highlights the importance of strategic cooperation in enhancing sustainable energy solutions and we believe in “energy” that the strong infrastructure constitutes the backbone of a successful transformation towards the use of clean energy and by harnessing our extensive experiences in the field of electricity transmission networks, we guarantee the ability to Merging electricity generated from renewable energy sources within the transportation network efficiently and reliably to transport it across the border.
