Dubai Games and Digital Sports Festival starts April 25

Dubai, February 25/ WAM/ The Dubai Festival and Retail Corporation announced the launch of the fourth edition of the largest “Dubai Games and Digital Sports Festival” of its kind in the region from April 25 to May 11.

The festival aims to enhance Dubai’s position as a global destination for digital sports, through a busy program that extends for 17 days, including championships, competitions, exclusive performances, and specialized forums that bring together experts and creators in the field of games.

The festival also hosts the “Gameexpo Gallery” and “Gameexpo Summit”, where experts discuss the latest developments in the industry, in addition to revealing new games versions and exclusive meetings with the most prominent players.

The “Gameexpo Gallery” will return to the Dubai World Trade Center from 9 to 11 May, to provide an exceptional experience across 8 games, including competitive tournaments, virtual reality games, table challenges, and family games experiences.

The event is also witnessing the “Dubai Championship Championship” on May 10, which allows the creators to compete with disguised performances inspired by games and films.

The festival also includes an educational program that will continue until May, aimed at enabling young talents through workshops and competitions such as “Minecraft Teaching Challenge” and “Power Up”.

It also hosts “Gameon” to train developers on programming and design.

The festival is part of the Dubai strategy to support the Games and Digital Innovation Sector, in line with the Dubai Economic Agency D33 to enhance emerging industries, support small companies and sponsor talent in digital sports.
