Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed chairs the meeting of the Advanced Technology Research Council

His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, chaired the meeting of the Advanced Technology Research Council, which was held in the Abu Dhabi Executive Office.
The meeting discussed efforts to develop national talent, research and development achievements, prospects for launching new commercial projects, and aspects of international cooperation during the year 2025, where future plans aim to invest in promoting national competencies and enabling them in the field of science and technology.
His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan stressed the importance of supporting talent in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics, directed to the council to implement quality projects and initiatives that contribute to enhancing Abu Dhabi’s position as a global center for research and development, and accelerating the adoption of advanced technology in various vital sectors.
During the meeting, His Highness stressed the importance of strengthening international partnerships with the leading research institutions, with the aim of benefiting from global best practices to advance innovation.
During the year 2024, the Advanced Technology Research Council witnessed an increase of 20% in the number of research and development cadres that include a group of scientists and researchers, and the number of Emirati researchers increased by more than 9%, bringing their number to 210 Emirati citizens who contribute to enriching the scientific research scene at the level Global.
This progress reflects the commitment of the Council to provide a research environment that allows the way for Emirati and international talents to achieve its aspirations.
During the past year, the Council has strengthened from its presence on the global scene through a series of strategic partnerships, as it has completed 28 international research projects in cooperation with a wide network of universities around the world, as well as signed cooperation agreements with a group of international partners in research and development, to expand research prospects Common and knowledge exchange.
In the context of this expansion, the Council concluded government partnerships with several countries, including Spain, Serbia and Uzbekistan, as well as leading international bodies, as well as concluding agreements with nine local bodies.
On the other hand, the “Emirates Map for Research” continued its expansion as a central platform that supplies researchers with valuable information and resources, as it attracted many experts and research centers, and provided funding opportunities that support the innovation system in the country, so that the platform witnesses tangible growth in light of the increasing participating parties and researchers registered.
In the context of enabling young talents, the Council program to develop the capabilities and skills of youth in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics succeeded in attracting more than 3000 talents, as well as launching seven new projects aimed at inspiring the next generation and motivating it to go through science and technology.
Through its arm, the Council, the Council, the Institute of Technology Innovation, recorded a prominent success in developing and publishing advanced initial models within real operational environments during the past year, bypassing the annual expectations, which confirms the growing demand for dedicated technological solutions with realistic applications.
A group of developed projects, designed by the Institute of Technology Innovation, also witnessed the models of artificial intelligence, quantum technologies, and self -driving capabilities in the air, land and sea, with wide acceptance of customers, which enhances the position of the Advanced Technology Research Council, as a strategic partner for various industries and government agencies.
The council also celebrated the completion of three major events organized by “Aspire”, the arm of the program management of the Council, which included the establishment of the “Abu Dhabi Self -Racing League”, “Mohammed bin Zayed World Robot” challenge, and the “X Prais to feed the following billion” competition.
In terms of business development, the Council concluded 32 new agreements that included proof of concepts, project packages, cooperation agreements, and public frameworks, in a move that reflects the continuous progress in the process of innovation and promoting strategic partnerships.
The council launched three new companies through “Victory One”, the commercial marketing arm of the council, which is “Steer AI”, which draws the features of the future of safe and smart self -movement, and “Quantom Gate”, which enhances the advanced protection of digital assets in the post -era Quantom, and the company “plant”, which works advanced technologies to restore the environmental balance, as the council continued to support Expansion and growth of his first company, “AI71”, specialized in creating artificial intelligence solutions for institutions.
