المملكة: The Arab Parliament grants the Vice -President of the Shura Council, the Medal of Excellence

The Arab Parliament, Vice -President of the Shura Council, granted the former Speaker of the Arab Parliament, Dr. Mishaal bin Fahm Al -Salami, the Medal of Arab Excellence, during the third session of the first session of the fourth legislative chapter of the Arab Parliament, which was chaired by the President of the Arab Parliament Mohammed bin Ahmed Al -Yamahi, and was held on Wednesday at the headquarters of the League of Arab States in Cairo.
In a speech delivered during the opening of the session, Al -Salami expressed his thanks, appreciation and pride in his full support -during his presidency of parliament -from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister -may God protect them -and the President of the Shura Council Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Muhammad Al Sheikh, as he expressed the important To serve the issues and interests of the Arab nation.

Arab institutions

He said in his speech: “I was honored to work in the Arab parliament as a member and president for eight years, and it was a period full of aspirations and challenges that required us in Parliament to be highly responsible, and to work on the elevation of the Arab nation and serve its interests.”
In his speech, he indicated that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is one of the countries that support the Arab parliament, as well as its support for Arab and regional institutions that contribute to building a better future for the Arab nation, praising the Kingdom’s great efforts in supporting the issues of the Arab nation and addressing the threats it faces, and working to achieve security, stability and development in Arab countries and societies.

Kingdom’s positions

He affirmed the Kingdom’s steadfast position on the Palestinian issue and its continuous work to establish an independent Palestinian state whose capital is East Jerusalem, and its rejection of the project to displace the Palestinian people and provide humanitarian and relief support to the Palestinian people in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, noting the Kingdom’s initiatives to bring peace and end the war in Yemen and Sudan, and its rejection of external interference in Libya, and its support for the choice of the Syrian people and their new management, noting The human being provided by the Kingdom to countries and peoples affected by wars and disasters all over the world, which exceeded 133 billion dollars.
The honoring session was attended by the Secretary -General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, members of the Arab Parliament and the permanent representative of the Kingdom to the League of Arab States, Ambassador Abdulaziz Al -Matar, the Deputy Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Arab Republic of Egypt, Abdul Rahman Al -Dahs, and members of the Arab Parliament.
