The Saudi Economy Association organizes a symposium on the role of Saudi women in achieving a sustainable economy

Under the patronage and presence of Her Royal Highness Princess Sarah Bint Khalid bin Musaed bin Abdulaziz, the Saudi Economy Association organized an expanded symposium entitled “Saudi Women: the driving force towards a sustainable economy”, and the organization of this symposium comes in an embodiment of continuous support from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Highness the Crown Prince, may God protect them – to empower women and enhance their role in economic development, to achieve the Kingdom’s 2030.

This symposium, which witnessed the participation of a group of experts and specialists in various economic fields, aims to highlight in supporting economic development and enhancing its sustainability.
In her speech during the symposium, Her Royal Highness Princess Sarah confirmed that this event comes in a stage in which the Kingdom is witnessing qualitative transformations that enhance the position of Saudi women, not only as an active element in the economic system, but as a basic partner in achieving sustainable development.
His Highness the Princess pointed out that the “Kingdom’s Vision 2030” represented a fundamental turning point, as it opened new horizons for Saudi women, and enabled her to play vital roles in various fields, indicating that empowering women is not just a social issue, but rather a strategic investment in the future of the country, as experiences have proven locally and internationally that women’s participation in the labor market contributes to stimulating economic growth, promoting innovation, Sustainability.

Her Highness said at the end of her speech: “Building a strong and sustainable Saudi economy requires the concerted efforts of all members of society, men and women, to achieve the aspirations of the country,” expressing their confidence that Saudi women will remain an essential element in the national development process, thanks to their efficiency and capabilities. The symposium dealt with major issues related to the role of Saudi women in economic development, their achievements within the Kingdom’s 2030 vision, and ways to empower them in the energy sector and their participation in the ongoing transformations in this field.
