"Islamic affairs, endowments and zakat" 54 mosques are opened at the state level

Abu Dhabi on the first of March / WAM / The General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments opened more than 54 mosques at the level of the emirates of the country, before the blessed month of Ramadan in addition to the rehabilitation and maintenance of more than 152 mosques, and the provision of all the requirements of mosques from renewing brushes, air conditioning and sound quality according to the best standards and practices followed by the authority.

His Excellency Dr. Omar Habtoor Al -Darai, Chairman of the General Authority for Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat, stressed the authority’s keenness to expand the building of mosques and keep pace with the urban development in the modern cities and suburbs to enable the community segments to perform collective prayers and achieve happiness for them, praising the great support of the authority from the rational leadership and its interest in God’s homes and providing all its needs, and the security of the contributions of philanthropists and the people of goodness and partners.

He pointed out that the authority follows a long -term strategy in building dozens of mosques annually and meeting all the requirements of society, by consolidating the endowment in the society of the United Arab Emirates and strengthening this culture and explaining its role in serving society through many fields, stressing that mosques are the source of good for society and the symbol of cooperation, solidarity and affection based on its religious and social mission.
