The 2026 World Cup stars choose Dubai to undergo medical examinations ahead of the global football event

Dubai, 1st June / WAM / The FIFA Medical Center in Dubai announced the arrival of a number of stars from the teams qualifying for the 2026 World Cup finals to undergo medical examinations and periodic physical tests, and to ensure their readiness before joining the final preparatory camps in preparation for participating in the global football event.
The center confirmed that the selection of an elite group of international players to Dubai to undergo medical examinations reflects the increasing confidence enjoyed by sports medical services in the UAE, and the advanced infrastructure it provides, modern equipment, and specialized cadres capable of providing accurate assessments in accordance with the highest international standards.
Dr. Murad Al-Ghurairi, Director of the FIFA Medical Center in Dubai, explained that the continued attendance of international football stars strengthens Dubai’s position as a leading destination in the field of sports medicine, and reflects the level of development reached by the health and sports system in the country, and its ability to support professional athletes and qualify them for major benefits.
Among the most prominent players who underwent medical examinations at the FIFA Medical Center in Dubai during the recent period are Ayman Hussein and Ahmed McKenzie from the Iraqi national team, Amin Gouiri from the Algeria national team, Dayot Upamecano and Ibrahima Konate from the French national team, Elias Al-Achouri from the Tunisia national team, along with Joris Kayembe, the Democratic Republic of the Congo national team player.
The FIFA Medical Center in Dubai, which has international and continental accreditation from the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) and the Asian Football Confederation, is one of the most prominent centers specialized in sports medicine in the region and receives throughout the year a large number of Arab and international football stars to conduct medical examinations and physical tests and monitor their health readiness.
