The judicial system establishes Dubai’s best destination for life and investment

His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Governor of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance and Chairman of the Judicial Council in Dubai, headed the meeting of the Council, in the context of His Highness’s keenness to pursue the progress of the judicial work, ensure that it achieves the highest rates of integrity and transparency, and the consolidation of the rule of law, where the meeting discussed a number of issues and initiatives that would improve the judicial work in Dubai.
His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, during the meeting, which was held in the office of His Highness, approved the appointment of a number of judges in the Dubai courts, and His Highness also adopted the training and rehabilitation plan for members of the judiciary for the year 2025, in the context of His Highness’s interest in qualifying judges and members of the Public Prosecution, especially the youth, to improve and distinguish in this field that is one of the most important pillars of society’s renaissance and stability.
His Highness also adopted the mechanism for extending the service of members of the judiciary who reached the age of retirement, to benefit from their accumulated experiences and keep the distinguished from them.

His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum said in a post on his official account on the X platform yesterday: “I headed the Judicial Council meeting, to follow up on judicial work and ensure its integrity, transparency and the rule of law, and we discussed a number of issues and initiatives to improve the judicial work in Dubai.”
His Highness added: “During the meeting, we adopted a number of decisions and initiatives, and we also discussed the report of the General Secretariat of the Judicial Council, as the past four years witnessed an increase in the number of regulatory legislation for judiciary affairs and its members by 86%, compared to the four years that preceded it, which contributed to achieving the percentage of legislative compliance of 100%.”
His Highness continued: “The judicial system, with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, today, reflects Dubai’s stability and established its position as the best destination for life, work and investment.”
During the meeting, the Judicial Council discussed the statistical report of its general secretariat, which reviews the development taking place in the work of the Secretariat since its reorganization in 2021, where the number of studies, which have been completed during the past four years, reached 223 studies, between research, legislative and developmental studies, and the past four years have witnessed an increase in the number of regulatory legislation for judicial authority and its members by 86%, compared to the four years that It was preceded by, which contributed to achieving the percentage of legislative compliance of 100%, and the created regulations contributed to achieving the high appointments of members of the judiciary by more than 100%.
The report also showed the implementation of the General Secretariat eight internal development projects, and its contribution to the development of 17 development projects, in coordination with the judicial authority, the most important of which are: the project to develop the judicial inspection agency, the project of establishing the Trials Court, in addition to the project of establishing the Commissioners ’Authority in the Court of Cassation.
The Secretary -General of the Judicial Council in Dubai, Dr. Abdullah Saif Al -Sabousi, said that the General Secretariat, with the constant follow -up of His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, is working to provide all aspects of support to the judicial authority and its members, indicating that the General Secretariat, as the arm of the judicial council affairs, has worked during the past years to develop mechanisms, tools and legislative systems aimed at governance The mechanisms of integration between the judicial authority’s authorities, thanking His Highness the President of the Judicial Council for its unlimited support, and to the members of the Council for their efforts and cooperation with the General Secretariat.
The meeting was attended by the Director of the Court of His Highness the Ruler of Dubai, Vice -President of the Judicial Council, Mohamed Ibrahim Al -Shaibani, the Attorney General of the Emirate of Dubai, Counselor Issam Issa Al -Humaidan, Director of Dubai Courts, Prof. Dr. Saif Ghanem Al Suwaidi, Secretary -General of the Judicial Council, Professor Dr. Abdullah Saif Al -Sabousi, and members of the Council.
