"Recycling " .. innovative solutions in the circular economy and waste management

Abu Dhabi, March 3/ WAM/ The “rotation” group plays a pivotal role in promoting sustainability in the UAE in particular and the region in general, by developing innovative waste management solutions and encouraging the circular economy to reduce the environmental impact of human activities and achieve sustainability goals.
Engineer Ali Al Dhaheri, Managing Director and CEO of a recycling group, stressed that the group adopts the circular economy as a basic model for its business, stressing the importance of strengthening international cooperation and adopting sustainable policies through the “zero waste” initiative.
He added in a statement to the Emirates News Agency “WAM”, that the group contributes to achieving the goals of the turning economy in the country through a set of sustainable initiatives and strategies, as it works to reduce the waste sent to the landfills by enhancing recycling operations, and modern technologies are used to convert waste to energy and materials that can be used again.
He pointed out that the group relies on advanced technology such as artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things, to improve waste collection processes, sort and treat them, which contributes to increasing the efficiency of resource management and reducing waste.
He pointed to the fruitful cooperation with the public and private sectors to enhance investments in recycling and sustainable infrastructure projects, to provide new economic opportunities and enhance sustainability.
Al -Dhaheri said that a recycling group contributes to spreading awareness about the importance of sorting from the source and reducing incompatible consumption, through community initiatives and environmental education programs, which encourages individuals and institutions to adopt responsible practices, pointing out that the group’s efforts are in line with the national strategy for the 2031 round economy and the UAE vision to achieve climate neutrality 2050.
He explained that one of the challenges facing the group in the process of collecting and recycling waste is high rates of waste production in general, and a decrease in environmental awareness about the separation of waste or how to get rid of it, in addition to rapid urban expansion.
He stated that the group is cooperating with “Infiroser” to deal with electronic waste according to the highest environmental standards to ensure its recycling in a safe and sustainable recycling.
He added that the process begins with the category of electronic waste accurately, then advanced techniques are applied to erase data and destroy them to ensure that it is not recovered in a way that contributes to reducing the environmental impact.
And on the role of “recycling” in reducing the carbon footprint of the state, Al -Dhahiri stressed that the group focuses on turning waste away from the landfills, as it seeks to achieve the goal of recycling 80% of waste by 2030.
He added that various initiatives to convert waste to energy are applied in addition to the use of renewable energy sources such as solar energy to reduce carbon emissions.
Al -Dhahiri said that “rotation” seeks to expand its services by investing in smart technology and strengthening recycling facilities, in addition to strengthening partnerships with the public and private sectors to support the circular economy.
He stated that within the framework of community initiatives, the group launched a wide campaign to increase awareness about sustainability among school students in the Emirates to celebrate the Fifteenth Federation, which included interactive workshops, competitions and live shows for recycling with the aim of enhancing the importance of recycling and reducing waste.
