المملكة: On behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the Prince of Riyadh honors the winners of the King Salman competition for memorizing the Holy Quran

Under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and on his behalf -may God protect him -His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Riyadh region, attended Monday evening, a ceremony honoring the winners of the local competition for the King Salman bin Abdulaziz Prize for the memorization of the Holy Quran, its recitation and interpretation of “boys” in its twenty -sixth session, which is supervised by the implementation of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance.
He was received upon his arrival at the ceremony, the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, the general supervisor of the competition, Sheikh Dr. Abdul Latif Al Sheikh, Minister of Education Youssef bin Abdullah Al -Bunyan.

In his speech, the Prince of Riyadh expressed feelings of pride and pride in this award, which bears the name of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz -may God protect him -to memorize, interpret and recite the Holy Qur’an.

He said: “This award is great in its content, approach, and work, and – praise be to God – the Kingdom has a great role in supporting its children from the memorizers of the Holy Quran and their establishment on the correct and proper approach.”
He congratulated the winners of the contestants, wishing them success in serving the Book of God and serving the country according to the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Highness the Crown Prince -may God protect them -.

The ceremony began, with recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an, after that the Minister of Islamic Affairs delivered a speech, in which he confirmed that this ancient competition has dignity and continuous support from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz – may God bless him – since it was founded in 1419 to be a beacon that reflects the Kingdom’s interest in the Book of God – Glory be to Him – and its people, and continuing its firm approach in promoting care Which calls for the spread of goodness, and the delicacy of the spirit of competition between the sons and daughters of the country in its preservation and mastery.

He pointed out that the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques -may God protect him -to the competition as an affirmation of the pioneering role that the Kingdom plays in serving Islam and Muslims, drawing its approach from the Book of God and the Sunnah of his Prophet -may God bless him and grant him peace -.
He stressed that the continuation of this competition 26 years ago, with generous support from its sponsor – may God bless him – which was directed to honor the people of the Qur’an until the total prizes of the competition reached 7 million riyals, as it is a witness to the great care he attaches to the memorization of the Book of God, and motivated the generations that arise to it.

Prizes of 7 million riyals

After that, the Prince of Riyadh and the attendees listened to multiple readings of the contestants, and they watched a visual presentation on the award that includes information and statistics on the current session.
At the end of the ceremony, His Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar honored the jury members and winners of the sixth competition branches with cash prizes exceeding 7 million riyals with a shield of excellence.
His Highness also received a memorial gift on this occasion, and memorial photos were taken with the winners of the competition branches.
