The departments of public and private schools in the various emirates of the country announced amendments to school bus dates and hours of working hours in the first days of students’ working hours and teaching, administrative and technical bodies in Ramadan, to achieve the flow in the school transportation process and reduce pressure on students and parents, taking into account the nature of the holy month of Ramadan.
According to the notifications issued by the schools, which the Emirates Today briefed on a part of them, the dates of school buses witnessed some changes during the first week of Ramadan, where buses start passing through students from the third to the seventh of March at 8:50 am, provided that the date is adjusted from March 9, to be at nine in the morning.
Schools reported that students who use private or family transportation be received, starting at nine in the morning, explaining that new dates for buses will be announced later, in proportion to the period of the end of the second semester exams for the current academic year 2024-2025, to ensure the consensus of the transfer with the academic schedules.
Schools called on parents on the first days of Ramadan working hours for students and teachers, to adhere to the deadlines specified to ensure the progress of the educational process smoothly, as well as the need to follow up updates during the holy month, stressing that any delay in students’ willingness may lead to confusion of the transport schedule and the effect on regular classes.
These amendments reflect the keenness of school departments to adapt the school transportation system in proportion to the atmosphere of the month of Ramadan, while providing sufficient flexibility to facilitate the movement of students without affecting the dates of study and departure.
