The UAE supports Angola with 800,000 drug tablets through the “Doctor” naval medical project

The “Doctor” naval medical project, the joint initiative between the Abu Dhabi Ports Group and the Burjeel Holding Company, presented a new batch of vital support for the Angola Health Care Sector by donating 800,000 basic pharmaceutical tablets for the Angolan Ministry of Health, to distribute it to the most needy societies.
The official delivery of the shipment, which included essential antibiotics, pain relievers, and chronic diseases, in the presence of His Excellency Silvia Luko, Angola Minister of Health, Mohamed Aida Al -Menhali, the regional executive of the Abu Dhabi Ports Group, and ambassador Ahmed, co -chief executive of Barjeel Holding Company, along with official delegations from the two countries, in confirmation of joint commitment By enhancing health care services and deepening international cooperation.
This donation will enable the Angolan Ministry of Health to enhance the distribution of biological drugs and ensure that they reach the most needy groups, especially since the donated drugs are widely used in the treatment of acidity disorders, diabetes, bacterial infections, allergies, high blood pressure, and cardiovascular disease, which contributes to mitigating the most prominent health challenges in the country.
The Ambassador of Ahmed stressed that the Doctor project embodies a firm commitment to expanding opportunities to obtain health care in the African continent, by providing medicines and spreading reassurance and hope in the most needy societies, explaining that cooperation with the Ministry of Health in Angola represents an advanced step in the process of bridging health care gaps and achieving a sustainable humanitarian and development impact.
The Doctor project focuses on the African continent primarily, as it combines logistical services, standard infrastructure, training, and emergency response within a comprehensive platform, in line with the vision of the United Arab Emirates in supporting sustainable development and improving the quality of life in partner countries.
