Abu Dhabi Chess Club: The 31st edition of the Abu Dhabi International Festival has achieved record numbers
Abu Dhabi, August 25/ WAM/ Abu Dhabi Chess and Mental Games announced that the 31st edition of the Abu Dhabi International Festival has achieved record numbers, with the participation of 3,696 players and players from 84 countries.
Dr. Ahmed Abdullah Al -Qubaisi, Assistant Secretary -General of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, stressed that the support of the Festival’s continuous council, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, had a tangible impact on its development year after year, and its prosperity, by attracting the elite champions globally, diversifying its heroism, in addition to record numbers for the number of participants and participants, in its activities.
Al -Qubaisi pointed out in today’s statements after the conclusion of the festival yesterday, that the Emirati sport achieved the support and care of the rational leadership, qualitative leaps, and continuous achievements, in addition to the great excellence of the sons and daughters of the UAE in all external forums, reflecting the development witnessed by sport in the country.
He praised the great efforts of the Abu Dhabi Chess Club, in organizing and hosting the festival, setting arrangements to succeed, and attracting the elite players from all over the world, and giving the opportunity to participate in the UAE in its various championships.
