The decision to cancel sanctions against Syria will come into effect tomorrow

The US Treasury announced today, Monday, “the removal of sanctions regulations on Syria from the Federal Laws Code officially, provided that the decision will enter into force tomorrow, Tuesday.”

The ministry said, in a statement, that “President Donald Trump confirmed that the conditions have changed in Syria and witnessed positive measures taken by the new government led by President Ahmed Al -Shara.”

She emphasized that “the sanctions will remain valid for human rights violators associated with chemical weapons and terrorist organizations.”
