Cooperation between the Ministry of Finance and the University of Abu Dhabi in the fields of research and job rehabilitation

Abu Dhabi, March 4 / WAM / The Ministry of Finance signed a memorandum of understanding with Abu Dhabi University, with the aim of enhancing cooperation in the fields of research, studies, training and job rehabilitation, in addition to training and appointment opportunities in international financial organizations, and community responsibility.
Today’s press release said that the memo contributes to enhancing the pivotal role of academic institutions in developing the financial work system in the country, as it will pave the way for the implementation of joint research projects, and to provide specialized training programs, in addition to providing appointment and training opportunities in international financial institutions, which contributes to preparing distinguished national cadres that possess the global skills and experiences necessary to keep pace with future challenges in the financial sector.
The memorandum comes within the framework of activating the government partnership and integration system launched by the ministry, which aims to organize strategic partnerships with the leading bodies and institutions locally and internationally, as this cooperation reflects the ministry’s keenness to build pre -emptive partnerships that contribute to achieving global leadership in public finance and sustainable development, in line with international best practices in the financial sector.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by the Ministry of Finance, His Excellency Younis Haji Al -Khoury, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance, and by Abu Dhabi University, Professor Ghassan Fouad Awad, Director of the University, in the presence of His Excellency Salem Mubarak Al Dhaheri, Executive Director of Community Relations at the University, and Izzat Ali Al Jasmi, Director of Government Communication Department in the Ministry, and a number of specialists in the ministry and the university.
His Excellency Younis Haji Al -Khoury said: The Memorandum of Understanding with Abu Dhabi University embodies the commitment of the Ministry of Finance to develop an advanced financial environment that depends on innovation and knowledge, by enhancing research and professional cooperation with prestigious academic institutions, and this partnership opens new horizons for national cadres to refine its skills and capabilities and gain the necessary experiences that enhance their readiness for the future and contribute to achieving the ambitious UAE vision in the financial sector.
His Excellency added: The Ministry of Finance is keen to keep pace with the rapid transformations in the financial sector by strengthening the partnership between the government sector and academic institutions, in a way that contributes to building a solid knowledge base that enhances the sustainability of the national economy. This agreement is an important step towards enhancing integration between academic research and practical applications, to ensure the provision of innovative and sustainable solutions that support the financial development process in the country.
For his part, Professor Ghassan Fouad Awad said: This partnership reflects the commitment of Abu Dhabi University to provide advanced academic and research programs that contribute to meeting the needs of the financial sector fast growing, and supporting the labor market by providing it with national cadres who are able to advance the skills that qualify them to face future challenges in the context of the national trend to achieve sustainable development and digital transformation, and we work at Abu Dhabi University to provide programs Academy that keeps pace with these transformations, such as a Bachelor of Financial and Financial Technology, a Master of Financial Technology, and a Master of Strategic Digital Transformation, as we have the Bloomberg Financial Laboratory, which is one of the most prominent tools that provide models that simulate financial reality, which enhances our students ’readiness and contributes to preparing a generation of financial leaders who are able to apply the latest technologies in this field, and enhance financial sustainability.
