المملكة: 665 scouts serve pilgrims and visitors to the Two Holy Mosques during the month of Ramadan

The Saudi Arabian Scout Association has paid 665 scouts of boys, youth and scout leaders, since the beginning of the blessed month of Ramadan, to participate in providing volunteer services to the guests of Rahman, pilgrims, worshipers, fasting and visitors in the Two Holy Mosques.
This is in cooperation with the General Administration of Education in Makkah Al -Mukarramah Region and the General Administration of Education in Al -Madinah Al -Munawwarah Region.

The association’s contributions to volunteer work

The Secretary -General of the Saudi Arabian Scout Association, Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Ibrahim Al -Mudaris, stressed that the participation of the scouts in the service of pilgrims and visitors comes as an extension of the association’s role in volunteer work, where the scouts looks annually to this task with passion and love, because of its great impact in providing the necessary facilities for the guests of Rahman, in a way that guarantees them to perform their rituals with comfort and ease.

Al -Mudaheris pointed out that the association launched the “Public Service Camps” project since the beginning of the blessed month, which is continuing until the end of Ramadan, with the aim of providing organizational, guiding and humanitarian services within the Two Holy Mosques and the areas surrounding them, in cooperation with the competent authorities.
The project aims to achieve a set of values, most notably promoting the culture of volunteer work between members of the scouts, and consolidating the concept of national affiliation, as well as highlighting the bright image of the people of the Kingdom in the service of visitors to the Sacred House of God and the Prophet’s Mosque.

Services in the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque

For his part, the Commissioner for Community Development and Development of the Scout Association, Ahmed Mohamed Al Atwan, explained that the scout members provide their services in the Grand Mosque through 295 scouts and leader, in cooperation with the General Authority for Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, the Health Assembly in Makkah, and Public Security.
These services include the guidance of lost people, directing pilgrims to their destinations, contributing to the regulation of the crowd movement and its smoothness, and reducing congestion in high -density areas, as well as providing support in health centers, Ajyad hospitals and the campus by directing patients and supporting medical teams in emergency situations.

Al -Atwan added that there are 370 scouts and a leader who work in the Prophet’s Mosque, where they participate in providing volunteer services, such as guiding lost, pushing the elderly vehicles, organizing infantry transit, organizing worshipers, supervising the entry of women to the chapels allocated to them, and caring for lost children, in cooperation with the various government sectors and relevant authorities. The association also devoted a number of scout units to provide services in the Quba Mosque and the surrounding squares, which contributes to facilitating the movement of worshipers and visitors.

Al -Atwan stressed that the Saudi Arab Scout Association is keen to prepare and rehabilitate its members from the scouts and leaders through training programs and intense rehabilitation meetings, which include various areas of volunteer service, to ensure the provision of qualitative services that reflect the bright image of the Kingdom of the Kingdom in serving the guests of Rahman, and contributes to enhancing the culture of volunteer work in society.
