Entering tax accounts is available with “digital identity” or “username”

The Federal Tax Authority denied that entry has been limited to tax accounts through the “Emirates X” platform through digital identity only, stressing that the usual method previously is still valid in addition to the digital identity, where it is possible to enter through the “username” and “password” data.
This came in comment on complaints and inquiries received by “Emirates Today” from registered with the authority, related to the difficulties of their faces while submitting their tax declarations for the period ending on February 28, as they found that entering tax accounts requires the use of digital identity only, without providing the option of previous entry through “username” and “password”.
These dealers explained that the registration of the “Federal Taxes” was carried out by former employees, a research that cannot be accurately known as any digital identity required to enter digital accounts.
The Federal Tax Authority emphasized that entering the tax accounts through the “Emirates X” platform is not limited to the use of digital identity, as both methods (digital identity), and regular entry data (user name and password) are still available via the login page for the “Emirates X” platform.
The authority continued: “What has been changed is the design of the login page only, to meet the standards of the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority and the digital government (TDRA).”
The “Federal Taxes” explained that one of the most important positives of the application of the unified entry feature to the electronic platforms of the authority using the “UAE Pass” techniques is that it contributes to providing more easy, secure and effective services, which enhances the experience of users, and supports digital transformation in the authority, in line with the state’s strategy for digital transformation, and expanding smart government initiatives, in a manner that ensures compliance For the safety and privacy requirements imposed by the competent authorities.
She continued: «The use of (digital identity) allows users to access all the services of the electronic authority easily, without the need to create (accounts) or remember passwords, in addition to that it speeds up the procedures by providing the effort and time of users by logging immediately to the services of the authority.
She noted that advanced encryption techniques are relied on to verify identity, which reduces the risk of fraud or penetration, and reduces the possibility of stealing data or leaking sensitive information.
