The Ministry of Culture announced the start of the work of the Saudi -Chinese cultural year 2025 in the People’s Republic of China, which reflects the durability of bilateral relations between the two countries, which extends for decades of firm friendship and continuous cooperation.
This year is an important station to enhance cultural exchange between the Kingdom and China, through a set of qualitative activities that contribute to enriching the cultural scene in the two countries, and deepening the bonds of friendship and historical cooperation between the two peoples.

Establishment Day in Beijing

The Ministry of Culture participated in the organization of the Establishment Day in Beijing in cooperation with the Kingdom’s embassy earlier last month with a group of cultural events, with the participation of craftsmen with activities that reflect the aid Saudi handicrafts, as well as Arabic calligraphy arts.

This embodies the ancient cultural and historical richness of culture and arts, which is a preliminary launch of the cultural public works.

Saudi art exhibition in China

The Ministry of Culture, in partnership with the Optical Arts Authority and the UCCA, is organizing an exhibition of Saudi artist Ahmed Mater under the title “Antenna)” from March 8 to July 8 at the UCCA EDGE Center in Shanghai, which is the first head of the artist’s head of the artist in China.
This coincides with the Saudi -Chinese cultural year 2025, which is the first activities of the year, to give the exhibition an opportunity for the Chinese audience to discover an important aspect of the contemporary artistic scene in the Kingdom.

Promote artistic and cultural dialogue

The exhibition includes more than 100 artworks, which reflects Ahmed Mater’s artistic practices, and provides a comprehensive view of his works, as Ahmed Mater is one of the most prominent Saudi artists who contributed greatly to the development of the contemporary artistic scene in the Kingdom, and the promotion of the visual arts system.
His work was shown in many prestigious museums and institutions in the world, including his individual exhibition at Christie’s in London last July.
The “Al -Hawai” exhibition is one of the forms of cultural exchange between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the People’s Republic of China, and the promotion of artistic and cultural dialogue between the two countries, and aims to introduce the Chinese audience to Saudi art, culture and history.
