Clashes and victims .. What happens in the Syrian coast?

Bloody clashes erupted between the Syrian government forces and groups loyal to the ousted President Bashar to Assad in Lattakia Governorate, yesterday.

According to Syrian media, at least 48 people were killed during the violent clashes in the city of Jableh and its surroundings in Lattakia countryside, they are 28 fighters loyal to Assad and four civilians who were killed by the fire of the Syrian security forces, in addition to 16 members of the security forces who were killed by gunmen loyal to Assad, in addition to the fall of dozens of wounded.

The Syrian Ministry of Defense sent, according to the official news agency “SANA”, “huge military reinforcements” to the Jableh area and its countryside “to support the public security forces and restore stability to the region.”

This comes, while the Public Security Department in Lattakia Governorate announced the imposition of a “curfew until ten o’clock” on Friday morning, according to the official Syrian News Agency “SANA”.

The General Security Department in Homs announced the imposition of a general curfew, starting from 10:00 pm on Thursday, until 08:00 am on Friday.

In Tartous, the Public Security Department announced the imposition of a general curfew, as of ten o’clock in the evening, until ten in the morning on Friday.

The Syrian security forces had announced earlier yesterday that they were fighting clashes in the west of the country with armed groups.

The Syrian News Agency, “SANA”, quoted the director of the security of Lattakia Governorate as saying that “the armed groups with which our security forces clash with Lattakia countryside are affiliated with the war criminal Suhail Al -Hassan,” the former colonel in the Syrian army, during the Assad era, who was very supportive among those loyal to Assad and is considered one of his most prominent military leaders.

The Director of the Public Security Department in Lattakia, Lt. Col. Mustafa Kanifati, accused the “remnants of the Assad groups” of attacking checkpoints and governmental patrols in the Jableh area, according to Al -Anbaa Agency.

Kanifati stated that the clashes resulted in “deaths and injuries” between security personnel.
