The UAE condemns the attack on the power of the United Nations and the forces of South Sudan
Abu Dhabi, March 9 / WAM / The UAE condemned in the strongest terms the attack on a plane belonging to the peacekeeping forces in southern Sudan (Yanmis) and the defense forces of the people of South Sudan in the state of Upper Nile, killing a member of the international force and a number of government forces, as well as wounding two crew.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its strong condemnation of the attack on international forces and the South Sudan Defense Forces, stressing that this targeting is a violation of the principles of international law.
The Ministry expressed the solidarity of the UAE with the countries participating in the “Yanmis” forces, its condolences to the United Nations and the friendly government of South Sudan, and its wishes for a speedy recovery for the injured.
