After holding the first exploratory talks between Ukrainian and American negotiators in Saudi Arabia on a possible peace -making path in Ukraine, Ukrainian President Folodimir Zellinski plans to go to Jeddah.
“We will continue to work for peace, tomorrow I will visit Saudi Arabia,” said Zellinski, on Sunday evening, in his daily photo speech through his account on the X application.
The success of the first conversations
Zellinski added that the first talks between the negotiators were already satisfactory, saying: “We hope to achieve results, whether with regard to peace or additional support.”
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio will participate in the talks with Ukraine in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and is scheduled to leave for Jeddah today, Monday, to discuss a possible solution with the Ukrainian side of the Russian war on the country, according to the US State Department in Washington.

Among the Ukrainian officials present at the meeting in Saudi Arabia, as well as Zelinski, his head of his staff Andrei Yermak, Foreign Minister Andrei Sibha, and Defense Secretary Rostam Omirov.
Additional European aid
In his speech, Zellinski said: Today, Defense Minister Amrov has reported his meetings and contacts with the partners regarding the package of new support, Poland is preparing for additional support packages and continues to participate in the ammunition initiative led by the Czech Republic.
As for Germany, it is a hoping: We expect the speedy delivery of IRIS-T air defense systems, and it is important for Germany to realize its role as one of the main security pillars of Europe and the modern free world, and we are strongly appreciated.
On the European Union, he said: We are working at the institutional level of the European Union to address the current deficiency in supplies, and there is a willingness from the Netherlands to continue investing in the production of weapons in Ukraine.
He concluded his speech by saying: We expect from the countries of northern Europe and the Baltic Sea full support, which means packing new aid, new investments in the production of weapons, and new political initiatives that would enhance the strength of both Ukraine and Europe.
