1.3 % increased by the record for industrial production in Saudi Arabia during January

Today, the General Authority for Statistics issued the results of the index of industrial production index in Saudi Arabia for the month of January 2025, and according to the results of the bulletin, the index of the record for industrial production quantities increased by 1.3 % compared to the same month of the previous year (January 2024).
This came supported by high manufacturing activity, water supply and sanitation supply and waste management activities.
The results of the bulletin showed that the sub -record for mining activity and the exploitation of quarries by 0.4 %on an annual basis, and the increase in the sub -record for manufacturing activity by 4 %, while the sub -record for electricity, gas and steam supplies and air conditioning increased by 1.7 %.
The sub -record for water and wastewater supplies, waste management activities and its treatment was 12.8 %.
According to the main economic activities, the results indicated that the index of oil activities increased in January 2025 by 0.4 %, and the index of non -oil activities increased by 3.6 % compared to the same month in the previous year.
It is noteworthy that the General Authority for Statistics issued the index of the industrial production record on a monthly basis, which is an economic indicator that embodies the relative changes in the size of the quantities of industrial production based on the data of industrial production survey, which is implemented on a sample of industrial facilities that work in the targeted industrial activities represented in mining and quarry exploitation, manufacturing activity, electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning activity, air conditioning, air conditioning, air conditioning, Water supply, sanitation, waste management, and processing activities.
