Disaster Office in “Dubai Health” gets the membership of the global network “IPSN”

The Dubai Health Authority announced that the Disaster and Crisis Management Office, affiliated with the Public Health Protection Department, has announced the membership of the global network to monitor the “IPSN” pathogens, which is one of the most prominent scientific networks in the field of public health.

The office was able to obtain this membership in light of the great efforts made by the authority in order to enhance its position in the scientific and research community, and contribute to the development of knowledge in the field of public health, and to support its capabilities, response and enormous capabilities in facing health threats at the local and global levels.

Dr. Khaled Lootah, a consultant in the Department of Public Health Protection of the Dubai Health Authority, said that this membership came in appreciation of the contributions of the Distinguished Crises and Disaster Office, in the field of public health and anti -disease, pointing out that joining the network is an important strategic step, which will enable public health employees to benefit from global experiences and participate in joint research and projects, which enhances their ability to provide innovative solutions to combat epidemics.

He stated that the global network for monitoring pathogens “IPSN” is one of the World Health Organization initiatives and its membership represents a valuable opportunity to engage in international efforts to prevent infectious diseases and improve health systems in the face of future threats, noting that the network includes more than 50 countries, which reflects the volume of international cooperation in the field of public health.

Dr. Lootah pointed out that the network aims to enhance the ability of countries and governments to monitor and understand their spread, which contributes to improving the response to epidemics by providing accurate and updated data on the strains of pathogenic organisms as well as developing effective strategies for prevention and treatment through cooperation between experts and scientists worldwide.
