Chess joins the Haftit Challenge Championships list
Al -Ain on March 14/ WAM/ The Supreme Organizing Committee for the challenge of Hafit Al -Riyadi, headed by Salem bin Hudayrm Al -Ketbi, approved the addition of the chess championship to the competition list, bringing the total sports included in the current version to 21 different sports, in a move aimed at enhancing sports diversity and providing the opportunity for various segments of society to participate in this major sporting event.
It is scheduled that the competitions will start next Sunday evening in the gym attached to the Tahnoon Bin Mohammed Stadium in the train, amid a wide participation of professional and amateur players.
The tournament aims to attract chess lovers of different age groups and technical levels, with a focus on supporting young talents and giving them the opportunity to compete in an enthusiastic competitive atmosphere, and the matches are scheduled to be held according to the classic chess systems and rapid chess, amid careful organization that takes into account the highest professional standards.
Salem bin Haredim Al -Ketbi stressed that the inclusion of chess in the Hafta challenge comes within the strategy of the championship aimed at diversifying sports activities and enhancing community participation, noting that the Haftit Challenge is no longer just a sporting effectiveness, but rather an integrated sporting carnival that enhances the interaction between the groups of society, and supports the adoption of healthy lifestyles.
He added that chess sport is a qualitative addition, given the intellectual and strategic dimensions it carries, which enhances the thinking and analysis skills of the participants and represents a new station in the march of Hafit Al -Riyadi Challenge, which continues to provide an integrated sports model that combines physical and mental competitions, to enhance its position as one of the most prominent community sporting events in the region.
Tomorrow’s Tahnoon Bin Mohammed Stadium will host tomorrow evening, the final of the institutions championship, qualifying for the Super Cup final, Hafit Al -Riyadi.
The upcoming meeting brings together the Al Ain “A” and Al Ain B. “B”, where the first leads Ali Sultan and Faris Jumaa, while the second includes a group of legends of the club, including Hilal Saeed, Hamid Fakher, Walid Salem, Omar Gharib, Shehab Ahmed, Fawzi Fayez, Khaled Abdul Rahman, Salem Abdullah, Muhammad Abdul Rahman “Ajab”, and Abdullah Mal Allah.
Al Ain B team “B” qualified for the final after defeating Al Ain Municipality with a penalty shootout after the end of the original time in a 1-1 draw, while Al Ain “A” defeated food with a clean goal to reserve his seat in the final. The winner will meet the hero of the residential neighborhood championship next Monday on the same stadium.
The quarter-finals in the residential neighborhood championship resulted in the qualification of the Al-Markaniya team to the semi-finals after its victory over the “3-0”, while a blessing overcame Zakhr with a clean goal.
Al-Faqqa was able to seize his seat in the semi-finals after his victory over the Al-Watt Division “2-0”, while Maryal completed the contract of the teams qualifying with a great victory over the objector “4-2”.
The Al-Sarooj team continued its brilliance in the challenge of Hafit Sports Cricket, as it crowned the title after its overwhelming victory over the pre-Jahili neighborhood with a score of “94-48”, in the final.
The semi-final confrontations witnessed a great excitement, as Al-Sarooj exceeded his counterpart by one point “42-41”, while Al-Jahili qualified for the final after his victory over Al-Mugaii “25-24”.
Al Ain Club team qualified for the owners of determination to the final of the football championship for the owners of determination, where its counterpart is facing Abu Dhabi Club for the owners of determination next Monday at the Al Ain Club Stadium for the owners of determination.
Al Ain qualified came after its great victory over the Abu Dhabi Care and Rehabilitation Center “5-0”, while the Abu Dhabi Club grabbed the people of determination to qualify by defeating Al Ain Center for Care and Rehabilitation with a result of “4-2”, in the semi -finals.
