Mohammed bin Rashid Library guides 5,000 books for the Ministry of Defense within an initiative "A world reads"

Dubai, March 17 / WAM / The Mohammed Bin Rashid Library, the National Service Promises of the Armed Forces, gave 5,000 books in both Arabic and English, confirming its role in spreading knowledge and consolidating the culture of reading as a way of life in society, within the framework of the “World Reading” initiative, and in conjunction with the month of reading.

Dr. Mohamed Salem Al Mazrouei, a member of the library’s board of directors, stressed that this initiative reflects the library’s commitment to promoting reading and developing thought among the people of the country, in a way that contributes to building a creative knowledge society capable of keeping pace with future challenges.

He said that encouraging recruits of the armed forces to read, contributes to enabling them to cognitively and rehabilitate them to be active leaders in the future.

Since its launch in April 2023, the initiative has reached a quarter of a million beneficiaries, as the library has given 80,000 books to more than 200 institutions and schools, and the library invites publishing houses and cultural bodies to donate their books to support this pioneering initiative.
