المملكة: The Kingdom is in the world .. The opening of an Italian fashion institute with 85 years of experience in Riyadh

The Saudi Fashion Authority revealed a qualitative step that enhances the Kingdom’s position as a global destination for creativity and innovation in the fashion sector, as it is preparing to receive the ancient Italian “Marangoni” institute, which has more than 85 years of experience, to open its new headquarters in Riyadh in August 2025.
This project comes after in -depth evaluation studies for the local fashion market, with the aim of providing specialized educational programs that meet the needs of the sector and support the Kingdom’s 2030 vision in diversifying the economy and enhancing the fashion industry and luxury products.

Advanced diploma program

The new campus of the institute in the King Abdullah Financial Center will be centered within the creative Riyadh region, to provide an advanced training diploma that extends for three years, including specializations such as “fashion and accessories design”, “Fashion Management”, “Digital Communication and Media”, and “Perfume Management and Cosmetics”, as well as skills development courses for professionals full or partial.
These programs will be subject to the accreditation of the General Organization for Technical and Vocational Training, under the supervision of a group of international and local experts, to ensure the provision of an educational experience with international standards.

Support Saudi talent

In the context of supporting Saudi talents, the Fashion Authority, in cooperation with the institute, launched a strategic initiative that includes the provision of 50 scholarships for Saudi students registered in the diploma program, through a competitive competition announced on March 17 through the institute’s website.
This initiative provides high school students with the opportunity to join this specialized educational path, which aims to prepare a new generation of designers and leaders in the fashion industry.
For his part, the CEO of the Fashion Authority, Burak Shimakk, stressed that this partnership represents a qualitative shift, saying: “We are working with the Marangouni Institute to enable Saudi talents and enrich the global scene of fashion with our unique cultural heritage, to build a sustainable system that supports the ambitions of Vision 2030.”
In turn, Stefania Valenti, the institute’s managing director, expressed her thanks to the Fashion Authority and its partners, noting that “this project combines global experience and Saudi heritage to prepare future leaders in the fashion and luxury sector.”
This step confirms Riyadh’s position as a global creative center, as it combines cultural heritage and technological development, to become a new fashion destination that enhances the Kingdom’s presence on the international scene.
