New Emirati mediation between Russia and Ukraine succeeds in launching 350 prisoners
Abu Dhabi, March 19 / WAM / The UAE announced the success of mediation efforts made between the Republics of the Russian Federation and Ukraine in the completion of the process of exchanging newly war prisoners that included 175 prisoners from the Ukrainian side and 175 prisoners from the Russian side with a total of 350 prisoners, bringing the total number of prisoners who were exchanged between the two countries in these mediations to 3,233 prisoners.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its thanks to the two countries for their cooperation with the efforts of the Emirati mediation, which confirms the confidence that the state enjoys in the Russian Federations and Ukraine Republics, and their appreciation for the state’s keenness to support all efforts to resolve the crisis between the two countries.
The ministry stated that with the success of this mediation, the total Emirati mediators that took place during the crisis reached 13 mediations, and it reflects the friendship that brings the UAE to each of the Russian Federations and Ukraine.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed that the UAE will continue its endeavors to the success of various efforts to reach a peaceful solution to the conflict in Ukraine, and to alleviate the human effects resulting from the crisis such as refugees and prisoners.
