Abu Dhabi Police is enhancing its field efforts to ensure safety during heavy rain

Abu Dhabi Police continues its intensive field efforts to ensure the safety of society during heavy rains and weather fluctuations, through an integrated system of preventive and proactive measures, as part of its keenness to enhance traffic safety and protect lives and property.
Traffic patrols have been deployed extensively on various internal and external roads to regulate traffic, provide the necessary support to drivers, and deal immediately with reports and accidents, thus contributing to maintaining the smooth flow of traffic and reducing risks resulting from weather conditions.
Abu Dhabi Police also activated a system to reduce road speeds, according to weather conditions, in addition to using smart systems to update variable speeds instantly, which enhances road safety levels and reduces the possibility of accidents.
It confirmed its high readiness to deal with various emergency situations, in coordination with the concerned authorities, noting the importance of drivers’ commitment to safe driving, leaving a sufficient safety distance, avoiding distractions other than the road, and not entering areas where water collects or valleys.
She called on the public to follow weather developments through official channels, and to adhere to preventive guidelines, in a way that contributes to achieving the highest levels of safety for everyone.
