Trump supports America’s annexation of the British Commonwealth and comments: King Charles loved

On Friday, US President Donald Trump, warmly responded to a report that the United States can be presented with “affiliated membership” in the British Commonwealth.
According to the “New York Post”, the President wrote on Truth Social: “I love King Charles. It looks good for me,” referring to a report published by The Sun stating that the king may make an offer when Trump visits a state to the United Kingdom later this year.
The Commonwealth, which was established in 1926, includes 56 countries, the vast majority of which are previous colonies of the British Empire.
Among the members of the Commonwealth are Australia, Canada, India, Kenya, Malaysia, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, Canada, Kenya, Malaysia and New Zealand.
Member States do not adhere to any legal obligations to each other, although citizenship in one of the Commonwealth state provides advantages in the United Kingdom – including the right to live, travel, study or work for up to six months without the need to apply for an entry visa in advance.
The Daily Mail reported on Thursday that the idea of giving America the membership of the Commonwealth “is being discussed at the highest levels.”
A source told the newspaper: “It will be a great step that will symbolize Britain’s close relationship with the United States”.
“Donald Trump loves Britain and has a great respect for the royal family, so we believe he will see the benefits of this.”
The Sun newspaper report indicated that the offer is also seen as a possible way to alleviate tensions between the United States and Canada due to the escalation of customs duties – with more of them entering into force on April 2.
British Prime Minister Kiir Starmer presented a message from Charles when he visited the White House on February 27, when the British Prime Minister made an offer to visit the second unprecedented state.
“This is really special. This hasn’t happened before. This is unprecedented, and I think this symbolizes the strength of the relationship between us,” said Starmer..
Trump was quick to accept the invitation, and said to Starmer, “The answer is yes.”
“On behalf of our wonderful first lady Melania and I, the answer is yes, and we look forward to being there and honoring the king and really honors your country. Your country is a wonderful country, and it will be an honor for us to be there.”
The US declaration will not be unilaterally independence from Britain in 1776, and its independence through the Paris Treaty after seven years after a bloody war, an obstacle to membership.
Charles III became president of the Commonwealth after the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, on September 8, 2022.
Despite the royal leadership role, 36 of the 56 member states of the Commonwealth are republics, most notably India.
