Border Guard forces … fasting, vigilance and unique determination

“Emirates Today” lived a unique experience with the brave border guards champions, as it met with them amid the golden sand that embraces the borders of Dubai, at the Ramadan Iftar table, in an atmosphere full of spirituality and solidarity.

And the newspaper monitored, within hours, how these heroes who watch over the security of the homeland revive the home of the holy month, and they carry the weapon of duty … and how their sense of responsibility for their duties and duties multiplies, without allowing hunger or thirst to push them to relax and seek comfort.

Until the moment of breakfast, their resolve did not fill, and the pace of work did not retreat, as the eyes are vigilant, and the tasks are accomplished accurately and perfected, and despite the hardship of fasting and the fatigue of the day, we did not notice any negligence or failure between them, but their resolve was firm, their morale flying high, and their smiles radiate light and insistence.

The newspaper spent hours in the place that remains awake when everyone sleeps, as the meaning of sacrifice is embodied in its best forms.

A message of appreciation and pride

The beginning was with Lieutenant -Colonel Mohammed Al -Afari, who stressed that “the visit of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, to the border guards soldiers, with the beginning of the blessed month of Ramadan, embodied the keenness of the wise leadership to support the homeland soldiers and stand by them, which constitutes a message of appreciation and pride in their sacrifices, and an affirmation of their pivotal role in protecting the security and stability of the country.”

He added that «the presence of His Highness between us on the breakfast table in these blessed days is a great honor for all of us, as it reflects the spirit of brotherhood and interdependence between the leadership and its children, and gives us an additional motivation to do more for the sake of the country.

He explained that «the visit carried a message of great appreciation and moral support for our efforts in protecting the borders of the country, and stressed that the leadership stands with the loyal security men at all times, even during spiritual occasions such as the blessed month of Ramadan .. We have given us the presence of His Highness among us a strong batch of enthusiasm, and we feel that we are not only doing a job, but with a great national message that we perform in the spirit of one team.

The spirit of national cohesion

For his part, Captain Khalifa Al -Saridi said that “the visit of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum reflects the leadership of leadership in consolidating the spirit of national cohesion and strengthening the morale of the brave soldiers of the homeland,” adding that “such visits send pride in our souls in the field, so our soldiers are the first line of defense, and their support is support for the entire country.”

He stressed that “His Highness’s participation for us the moments of breakfast reflects the values ​​of the Emirates, which is appreciated and gratitude to everyone who exerts the precious and precious for it.”

He added: «When we see our leaders embody the concept of field leadership, we realize the secret of the UAE’s strength and cohesion.

He explained: “Ramadan is a month of patience and sacrifice, and his meeting with His Highness gave our fasting a feeling of pride and determination, and his words were a medal of honor, which increases our insistence on performing our duty in the utmost degree of sincerity.”

Receiving the holy month

Border Guard soldiers said that this month has a special nature in them, and the ranks officer, Juma Al -Dahmani, stressed: “We receive the month of Ramadan with a high morale, mixed with pride in performing our duty, and we are keen to enhance the atmosphere of brotherhood and solidarity among colleagues, while organizing breakfast times and suhoor in mind.

He added: “The holy month differs in the nature of the atmosphere and the constant preoccupation with the mission, as breakfast is sometimes resolved, but solidarity between colleagues enhances the family feeling, which compensates for the distance from the family.”

He explained: «The spiritual atmosphere of the holy month increases us with determination and patience, and instills a greater responsibility in us, and Ramadan gives us an opportunity to get closer to God with supplication and good deeds, which reflects positively on our performance and discipline.

The most difficult moments of fasting

The ranks officer Khaled Al -Saraidi stressed that “the most difficult moments of fasting in the field are under the afternoon rays, where the effort and the lack of fluids are doubled from the challenge, but the determination and belief in the duty and the concern for its full performance makes us more tolerance,” explaining that they are preparing for their tasks by ensuring that it is eating balanced suhoor meals, maintaining moisture, and managing the effort intelligently to ensure the optimal performance throughout the day.

He stressed that they deal with harsh weather conditions during service during fasting by following adaptation methods, such as wearing appropriate clothes, taking advantage of the weather as possible, and exchanging tasks among colleagues to reduce fatigue.

Breakfast on service sites

The ranks officer Salem Al -Kindi said, “breakfast in the service sites is simple and fast, as it begins with dates and water, then basic meals according to the available.”

He added: “We sometimes miss the warmth of the family and the traditional Ramadan table, but what compensates us is the collective atmosphere that brings us together, and the keenness of the team’s spirit during breakfast, and we exchange supplication.”

He explained: «To ensure the continuity of work, we depend on the rotation system, where some of us break the fast, while others continue to perform tasks, then the switch is smoothly, as for the level of food, we prefer soup and dates on breakfast, while we are keen in suhoor to eat foods that provide us with energy and moisture to face long working hours.

Worship and spirituality

The ranks officer, Muhammad al -Yamahi, said: “We are keen to reconcile the performance of military tasks and adhere to acts of worship by exploiting comfort times for prayer and reading the Qur’an, while maintaining our focus in performing the duty. Despite the nature of the work, we try to perform Tarawih prayers whenever the opportunity arises, whether individually or collectively, which enhances the spiritual atmosphere in the field.

He added: “The spirit of the group is manifested in supporting each other, whether by reminding colleagues of prayer times, or exchanging supplications, in addition to sharing breakfast and suhoor in the spirit of brotherhood, which makes Ramadan a distinct faith experience despite the working conditions.”

The night is in the border

With the launch of the breakfast cannon, the soldiers gathered around the “home table” that includes dates, water and soup, amid a deep feeling of gratitude. It was clear that they found in their colleagues a second family collected by the love of the homeland and the spirit of the team.

After breakfast, there was no long time to rest, some of them returned to its positions, and others were busy with monitoring and insurance tasks.


Messages from the border heroes

The brave border guards heroes said in a message to family and loved ones: “Despite the dimension we feel the warmth of your prayers and love, for you are with us at every moment, we miss your beautiful moments in Ramadan, but we believe that our national duty is a trust in our necks, and we do our best to perform sincerity, so your calls and support are our increased in this holy month.”

And they said in their message to the people of the homeland: “Security and stability are the result of countless sacrifices, and dedication to protecting it is a sacred duty, and sacrifice is not just an absence from the family, but rather an honor that we proudly carry it, so that our country remains safe and prosperous .. Ramadan teaches us patience and giving, and they are the essence of our message in the service of the country.”


Enhancing noble values

“Emirates Today” left the place with pride and pride, after seeing that Ramadan is in the eyes of the brave border guards heroes, not just a month for fasting and worship, but rather an opportunity to enhance noble values, such as patience, discipline, and sincerity at work, as these soldiers constitute a living model for commitment, as they do not stop performing their duty, even in the most difficult times.

The form of Ramadan may change for them, away from the family and the traditional atmosphere, but the spirit of the month remains present in their hearts, giving them strength and certainty that they are in the right place, performing a great message to the homeland and its children.
