The US Secretary of Defense takes his wife to secret military meetings

Reports revealed that US Defense Secretary, Beit Higseth, took his wife Jennifer to sensitive meetings with foreign military officials..
According to the Wall Street Journal, the minister’s wife attended two important meetings, the first with British Defense Secretary John Healy in the Pentagon on March 6, where the US decision was discussed to stop the participation of military intelligence information with Ukraine.
As for the second meeting, it took place at the NATO headquarters in Brussels during the month of February, and centered on coordinating military support for Ukraine.
The sources pointed out that some foreign participants in these meetings were not aware of the wife’s identity or the reason for her attendance, while the usual protocols are limited to attending such sensitive meetings on people with high -level security permits due to the nature of the secret discussions during which they take place.
These developments come in conjunction with the talk leaks scandal that took place through the “Sagnal” application, which included Vice President GD Vans and National Security Adviser Mike Waltz in addition to the editor -in -chief of “The Atlantic” Jeffrey Goldberg..
These talks, which dealt with possible military plans against the “Houthis” in Yemen, have sparked major security concerns.
In response to these reports, Defense Minister Higseth denied any discussion of military plans in those talks, while national security adviser Mike Walz and Taz Goldberg attacked him and described him as harsh terms.
For his part, US Defense Ministry spokesman Sean Barnell commented on the reports of questioning its credibility and motives.
These events sparked angry reactions in the American political and security circles, where Democratic Representative Chris Jackson called for the resignation of the defense minister immediately because of what he described as a “grave security breach”, while Governor Bill Christol criticized the Trump administration for its alleged underestimation of security measures.
It is noteworthy that President Trump instructed the National Security Adviser to follow up on the investigation of this case, at a time when the administration is witnessing increasing pressure due to accusations of negligence in dealing with national security issues and preserving sensitive military secrets.
