On charges of embezzlement, a French court sentenced Marine Le Pen to prison

A French judge sentenced Marine Le Pen, a four -year -old nationalist leader, two years old, with two years old, and a year under house arrest with the use of an electronic tracking device, after being convicted of embezzlement.
Marine Le Pen has always denied these accusations, which dates back to the period between 2004 and 2016, and directed against the National Rally Party and some former officials and former elected assistants.
The case relates to the potentially fictitious employment of assistants of a number of European Parliament deputies.
The main accusation is about the Le Pen’s receiving money from the European Parliament in favor of parliamentarians who were actually working for the party.
If the defendants are convicted, their eligibility may also be announced to run for a period of five years, which may hinder Le Pen’s candidacy in the upcoming presidential elections in the year 2027.
