California forest fires cause evacuations in several provinces

Forest fire caused wide evacuation operations in several provinces in central California after spreading to more than 1,000 acres (4.04 square kilometers) in six hours.

The Forestry and Fire Protection Administration, “Calfire”, stated that the “Silver Fire” fire broke out at 11:00 pm local time on Sunday in Anio Province near the state borders with Nevada and soon spanned 1,000 acres in six hours.

She said that the fire extended on Monday morning to 1250 acres (5.06 square kilometers) without containing, noting that the speed of the winds, which amounted to 35 miles per hour, walked the fire, “which created dangerous conditions, some firefighting aircraft stopped and the complexity of containment efforts.”

“The winds are largely random, in a minute that rushes the north and then a minute to rush to the east,” said agency spokeswoman Chloe Castillo. Significant orders were issued to about 800 homes in Luz, in the province of Ino and Shalafant, Mono Province, and the White Mountain Esttes neighborhoods, and about 50 km from the American Highway No. 6.
