Al -Yamahi: The Arab Parliament is committed to supporting Arab issues, especially Palestine

Tashkent on April 5 / WAM / His Excellency Muhammad bin Ahmed Al -Yamahi, President of the Arab Parliament, confirmed that the “Parliament” will spare no effort to support sincere efforts in serving the issues of the Arab nation, foremost of which is the first Arab issue, the Palestinian issue.
This came in his speech at the coordination meeting of the Arab Group of the International Parliamentary Union, which was held in the Uzbek capital, Tashkent, before the start of the official meetings of the 150th Association of the International Parliamentary Union and its accompanying meetings hosted by the Republic of Uzbekistan during the period from 5 to 9 April 2025 AD.
This meeting was held with the aim of coordinating Arab positions towards the items and topics on the agenda of the General Assembly of the International Parliamentary Union, and opinions were exchanged on requests for the inclusion of emergency items on the agenda of the General Assembly, as well as agreement on the candidates of the Arab Group for the vacant centers in the Executive Committee and the permanent and branch committees of the International Parliamentary Union.
The President of the Arab Parliament delivered a speech, at the beginning of the meeting, in which he stressed that this participation is the fruit and extension of constructive cooperation between the Arab Parliamentary Union and the Arab Parliament, which was strengthened through the memorandum of cooperation signed by the two sides on the sidelines of the seventh conference of the Arab Parliament and the heads of Arab councils and parliaments last February, which was jointly managed between the Arab Parliament and the Arab Parliamentary Union.
Al -Yamahi pointed out that the Arab Parliament seeks to build on this close cooperation, with the aim of enhancing the role of Arab parliamentary diplomacy in defending the issues of the Arab nation, and in serving the interests of the great Arab people.
