“Dubai Autism” launches its 19 campaign to raise awareness

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense and Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Dubai, the Dubai Automatic Center launched its 19th annual campaign to raise awareness of autism, which will continue for a full month, starting from the second of April, which falls on the International Day for Automation, according to the United Nations General Assembly approved.
“The message of our annual campaign this year comes in line with the goals of (the year of society) announced by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, in order to consolidate the pillars of an inclusive society, and accepts all its different categories.”
He stressed that the support and empowerment of the owners of anxiety with autism is a societal responsibility that requires comprehensive cooperation among all sectors, to ensure their integration in a way that allows them to fully benefit from their capabilities and contribute to the process of sustainable development, expressing his thanks and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, for his continuous support for this campaign, stressing that His Highness’s care for the campaign reflects the obligation of the rational leadership to provide A intense and sustainable environment for people of determination, to ensure their active participation in society.

For his part, the Director General of the Dubai Automatic Center and a member of his board of directors, Mohamed Al -Emadi said: “Supporting and empowering people with ancient people with autism is a societal responsibility that requires comprehensive cooperation between all sectors, to ensure that it provides equal opportunities for them, and enabling them to participate actively in society, for this the campaign highlights the importance of enhancing societal awareness of the characteristics of individuals with autism and challenges they face, which contributes to preparing A intense environment that meets their needs and helps them achieve their full potential. ”
The campaign activities this year include a variety of activities, including lighting a number of prominent landmarks in Dubai in blue, to celebrate the International Day of Autism. It also includes the organization of weekly workshops in all state schools to raise awareness about the means of initial disclosure of autism, as well as allocating weekly paragraphs within the “Balsan” program via the Nour Dubai channel to increase awareness of autism. In addition, the center will offer free sessions for early detection and comprehensive evaluation of children with unification disorder and developmental disorders.
In conjunction with the campaign this year, the Dubai Autism Center announced the issuance of its new book entitled “Management of behavioral challenges for autistic children”, prepared by Dr. Bassam Darwish, a comprehensive practical guide for parents and educators. The book aims to provide families and specialists with knowledge and tools needed to understand the reasons behind the various behaviors of autistic children, and apply effective strategies to help them. The book consisting of four chapters reviews scientific and systematic methods to support autistic children, by promoting social interaction, teaching social skills, and creating a supportive environment that contributes to improving the quality of their lives.
