Live broadcast…the launch of the 2026 World Government Summit activities in Dubai

The World Government Summit 2026, which is being held under the slogan “Foreseeing the Governments of the Future,” began today and will continue until February 5 in Dubai, amid unprecedented record international participation, reflecting the event’s position on the international map.
This year’s session includes an expanded agenda with specific activities that include 24 global forums, focusing on the most prominent trends in the vital fields most closely related to the future of humanity, in addition to holding more than 35 ministerial and high-level meetings with the participation of more than 500 ministers, while the summit issues 36 strategic reports in cooperation with international knowledge partners.
It also witnesses strategic dialogues on the future of vital sectors, most notably governance, technology, aviation, logistics, tourism, global trade and investment, in the presence of the most prominent CEOs in these sectors.
A global platform for shaping future trends
In its new session, the World Government Summit records a qualitative leap in the size and impact of global participation, as it brings together leaders of countries, governments and government delegations from various continents of the world under one roof, to represent, through its agenda of activities that cover a wide spectrum of vital sectors and fields, a pivotal global platform for shaping future directions and supporting the process of development and progress of societies around the world.
More than 100 international and regional organizations, global and academic institutions, and an elite group of leaders from international organizations are participating in the summit.
The summit’s agenda focuses on main themes that address: global governance and effective leadership, societal well-being and human capabilities, economic prosperity and emerging opportunities, the future of cities, population transformations, future prospects and upcoming opportunities. The agenda also includes more than 320 sessions in which more than 450 international figures, including presidents, ministers, experts, thinkers and decision-makers, will speak.
The World Government Summit 2026 will witness the holding of more than 35 ministerial and high-level meetings, bringing together ministers from various sectors with leaders of leading global companies.
The summit will also host a group of meetings and forums organized by a number of governments around the world, including: a government meeting organized by the government of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Forum for the Future of Ecuador (in the presence of the President of the Republic of Ecuador), and a bilateral dialogue on artificial intelligence with the governments of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Korea. The Kuwaiti-Emirati Economic Forum will also be organized.
The summit also witnesses strategic meetings and conferences organized by a number of international organizations, such as the Investment Forum in Latin America and the Caribbean in the presence of a number of leaders and in cooperation with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the Arab Government Administration Forum in cooperation with the Arab Administrative Development Organization, the Public Finance Forum for Arab States in the presence of the President of the International Monetary Fund, the Tenth International Cooperation Conference organized by the Association of Caribbean States (ACS) with ministerial participation from 25 countries, the closed session on benefiting from artificial intelligence and enhancing the readiness of countries in cooperation with the International Monetary Fund, and a meeting on the future of aviation, in cooperation With the International Civil Aviation Organization – ICAO, a dialogue for city mayors on the future of housing in the presence of the Executive Director of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme, a ministerial meeting on the blue economy organized by the Gulf Cooperation Council, a high-level bilateral dialogue of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and the European Union, and a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Latin American Administrative Development Organization (CLAD).

This year, the World Government Summit continues to honor the best experiences and government success stories around the world, based on its role in celebrating innovation and excellence in government work, through 4 awards, including: the Best Minister in the World Award in partnership with PricewaterhouseCoopers, the World Most Advanced Government Award in cooperation with Ernst Young, the Dubai International Award for Best Sustainable Development Practices, in cooperation with the United Nations Human Settlements Program and Dubai Municipality, and the Best Teacher Award in partnership with the Varkey Foundation.
