The UAE was the first country that responded to the humanitarian situation in Sudan, and presented the directives of the rational leadership, large tons of humanitarian aid to the affected, and worked continuously to support and improve the living conditions of the population and the displaced.

The UAE provided all kinds of humanitarian and relief aid to the Sudanese people, especially food and health, and contributed to protecting women and children by providing livelihoods and shelter in emergency situations, which confirms its commitment to addressing various aspects of the humanitarian crisis in Sudan.

On the day of Zayed, the UAE presented, last March, a pioneering initiative that reflected its keenness to mobilize regional and international efforts to provide the necessary humanitarian support for the displaced and refugees from Sudan and neighboring countries, as it participated in cooperation with a number of friendly countries and representatives of international organizations in organizing a high -level humanitarian visit to the Gurum refugee camp in the city of Juba, southern Sudan, based on the faith of the UAE of the importance of constructive importance A large -scale regional and international response to confront the humanitarian catastrophe that Sudan suffers, coordinate efforts to reduce the suffering of the brotherly Sudanese people, extend a helping hand to the displaced and support those in all parts of the world.

The UAE announced during the “high -level humanitarian conference for the people of Sudan” in Addis Ababa to provide additional humanitarian assistance worth $ 200 million, within the framework of the established human values ​​of the UAE and its standing alongside the brotherly Sudanese people in light of the worsening humanitarian crisis.

The UAE’s provision of additional humanitarian aid embodies its firm and continuous commitment to supporting the brotherly Sudanese people, since since the start of the crisis, it provided $ 600.4 million to support the humanitarian response (200 million during the Addis Ababa conference and 400 million during the 22 months of the life of this painful conflict), which confirms its firm commitment to providing support to the needy during crises.

As one of the main contributors to humanitarian aid to Sudan and Africa, the UAE allocated 70% of its pledge announced last April during its participation in the meetings of the International Humanitarian Conference on Sudan, which amounted to 100 million dollars, to United Nations agencies and its humanitarian and relief organizations, in support of humanitarian efforts in Sudan.

This support is directed to the main partners of the United Nations agencies, and it includes: the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, the World Food Program, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, the Food and Agriculture Organization, and the World Health Organization, which ensures a comprehensive approach to address the humanitarian crisis and reduce the aggravation of famine in Sudan, where the approach follows the UAE includes providing all kinds of aid, and especially nutritional Health, protecting women and children, and providing livelihoods and shelter in emergency situations, which confirms its commitment to addressing various aspects of the humanitarian crisis in Sudan.

Emirati aid to Sudan and the neighboring countries comes within the framework of the constant rational leadership to provide humanitarian and relief support to the brotherly Sudanese people, which reflects the great interest that the United Arab Emirates attaches to humanitarian challenges and its commitment to continuing to extend a helping hand, support and human support for it.

Since the beginning of the crisis in Sudan, the UAE has inaugurated an air bridge (with Sudan and Chad, the neighboring) with the aim of providing support and support to the Sudanese brothers, and alleviating the intensity of humanitarian conditions in Sudan and neighboring countries.

Since the beginning of the crisis, the UAE has provided thousands of tons of humanitarian aid, food and medical supplies and urgent relief supplies to support the humanitarian response by running dozens of flights.

The UAE also supported the Sudanese refugee camps in Abshi, and in a number of regions in Chad, in addition to that a diet aid plane was run to Sudanese refugees in South Sudan through the World Food Program.

In the context of providing medical services for Sudanese refugees in neighboring countries, the UAE built two field hospitals in Amjarsas and the Bashi Chadian to support the Sudanese refugee brothers, as their services extend to all civilians, regardless of nationality, age, gender or political affiliation.

Representatives of international and relief organizations praised the support and relief of the UAE to the Sudanese people for alleviating the humanitarian crisis they face, and its contribution to saving the lives of families and societies besieged by the humanitarian crisis in Sudan.
