China confirmed today, Monday, that it will not be acquired for pressure or threats after the American president pledged to impose additional customs duties of 50 percent on its goods if it does not retract the counter -measures announced.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump warned, on Monday, of imposing heavy customs duties on imports from China unless the latter pulled the reprisals imposed.
Trump confirmed that Washington will start talks on customs duties with countries wishing to do so.
And transmitted his platform Truth for social networking, Trump wrote: “Unless China with the advent of tomorrow withdraws 34% on its main long -term trade exploitation mainly, the United States will impose additional recognition of 50% on China as of April 9.”

Customs warfare between America and China

The Chinese government announced in its first decisions on customs duties, the imposition of 34 % fees on all imports from the United States.

The Chinese authorities have also announced several other measures, including the imposition of immediate restrictions on the export of seven types of rare minerals.
