"Al -Faris Al -Shahh 3 "Emirati hospitals and initiatives that put health in the heart of humanitarian work

Abu Dhabi, April 8/ WAM/ The United Arab Emirates takes over, and under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, great interest in human health and safety, and continues through the “Al -Shahham 3” operation of its global humanitarian support, through the implementation of integrated health initiatives that embody its firm approach in providing medical care for the injured, especially in the areas affected by the Gaza Strip.

In this context, the UAE established the UAE field hospital in the Gaza Strip, with a capacity of 200 beds, which includes operating rooms, concentrated care units and emergency departments equipped with the latest equipment, in which a specialized medical staff of various nationalities works.

More than 51,000 cases have been treated since its opening, focusing on critical injuries and precise surgeries.

Through the hospital, the UAE also launched a qualitative humanitarian initiative to install prostheses for the injured who were amputated, with the aim of supporting their rehabilitation and enabling them to restore their normal lives.

The UAE also provided comprehensive medical support to hospitals in Gaza, which exceeded 750 tons of medical supplies and medicines, and included electrical devices and generators to ensure the continuity of providing health services.

Among the qualitative initiatives, a comprehensive polio vaccination campaign carried out more than 640,000 children, as part of preventive efforts to protect future generations from serious diseases.

In the context of interest in critical cases, the UAE has evacuated a number of patients and injured from the Gaza Strip to the country for treatment, and the number of beneficiaries of the evacuation and treatment program in the UAE reached more than 1,000 children and 1,000 cancer patients from the Gaza Strip, who received specialized medical care that included surgical operations, qualification and psychological support.

The UAE also sent the floating field hospital in the Egyptian city of Al -Arish with a capacity of 100 beds, and includes multidisciplinary medical crews that include general surgery, orthopedics, pediatrics, women and obstetrics, and intensive care.

The floating hospital has received more than 10,000 cases coming from the Rafah crossing, and provided her with emergency medical services as well as accurate surgeries, within an integrated treatment environment that takes into account the highest safety and health care standards.

These integrated humanitarian efforts reflect the UAE’s steadfast commitment to the principle that investing in health is an investment in the future of peoples, and embodies the values ​​of solidarity and giving in its highest form.
