About 400,000 displaced people in Gaza since the ceasefire ended

UN spokesman, Stephen Dujarric, said yesterday that nearly 400,000 people have been displaced again inside the Gaza Strip since the fighting was resumed less than three weeks ago, which is equivalent to one in five Palestinians in the Strip.

“There have been no arrangements to ensure their safety and survival, and it is a responsibility for Israel as the occupying power,” Dujarric added.

Since Israel has re -launched its military operation against Hamas on March 18 and has expanded greatly from its presence in the Gaza Strip, where it now controls more than 50% of its territories, and pushes the Palestinian population towards shrinking areas.

Dujarric explained that the evacuation order issued by Israel, the day before yesterday, includes more than 3 square kilometers (almost the equivalent of one square mile), which is nearly the “Central Park” area in New York City, and is located in the Deir Al -Balah area.
