Dubai receives 3.82 million international tourists within two months

The Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism revealed the latest statistics on the performance of the tourism sector and the number of international visitors, and showed Dubai’s success in attracting 3.82 million international tourists during January and February 2025, compared to 3.67 million tourists in the same period last year, with a growth rate of about 4%.
According to data issued by the department, the Emirates Today obtained a copy of it, Western Europe ranked first, in terms of visitors to Dubai, based on the geographical area, valued at 21% of the total number of visitors during January and February, recording about 813 thousand international visitors, followed by the Gulf Cooperation Council region with about 17%, recording about 638 thousand visitors.
Russia, the Association of Independent Countries and Eastern Europe ranked third with about 15%, at a rate of 569 thousand international tourists, while South Asia acquired about 14% of the total number of international tourists to Dubai during January and February 2025, recording more than 529 thousand international tourists, and a rate of 12% for the Middle East and North Africa region, at a rate of 450 thousand tourists, while North and Southeast Asia countries acquired a share of 9% of the total, recording about 352 thousand international tourists.
The total number of international tourists from the Americas reached more than 263 thousand international tourists, which acquired 7% of the total number, compared to a stake of about 4% for Africa, at a rate of about 142 thousand visitors, while the “Australia” region acquired a percentage of about 2%, and at a rate of 62 thousand international tourists.
In addition, the number of hotel rooms in Dubai at the end of February 2025 reached more than 154.4 thousand hotel rooms within 832 hotel facilities, compared to about 151.2 thousand hotel rooms within 826 facilities at the end of February 2024.
The average hotel occupancy in all facilities operating in Dubai recorded 87% during the period between January and February, compared to 87% in the same period in 2024.
In turn, the luxury hotel rooms of “Five Star” accounted for 35% of the total size of the hotel market in Dubai, recording about 54.3 thousand hotel rooms within 169 hotel facilities, followed by the “four -star” hotel rooms with 29%, recording about 44.3 thousand hotel rooms within 199 facilities.
For its part, the hotels classified between “three stars” and “Najma” acquired about 19% of the total size of the hotel market, with a capacity of 29.7 thousand hotel rooms, among 278 hotel establishments.
The hotel apartments recorded more than 26 thousand rooms within 186 facilities, taking over 17% of the total size of the hotel market in Dubai.
At the end of last February, the livelihood of guests in Dubai hotels recorded 3.75 hotel nights, compared to 3.79 nights in the same period in 2024, while the number of nights (reserved rooms) reached about 7.87 million nights, compared to about 7.78 million nights overnight during the comparison period, with a growth rate of about 1%.
The daily price of the hotel room in Dubai reached 702 dirhams during the end of February 2025, compared to 664 dirhams in the same period last year with a growth of 6%, while the average revenue from the rooms available reached 611 dirhams at the end of February 2025, compared to 578 dirhams in the same period last year, with a growth of 6%.
