Blanchett recently participated in an interview in which she talked about her views about the development of Hollywood, especially with regard to the opportunities available to women, recalling her first days in the profession, saying: “The professional age of actresses in my beginnings in the artistic field did not exceed five years of work,” noting the great challenges that were facing women in the film industry, where their career was often being bound by age.

Blanchett indicated that the scene has changed significantly, with more women taking over major roles behind the camera. “I think women of products have more power,” she said, and added: “There are more women in the writing rooms, and the more diverse industry on the basic level, the more exciting things for the public.”

Blanchett is currently working on several projects, including: starring and production in the upcoming comedy movie “Alfa Jang”, which deals with the invasion of aliens, along with a distinguished staff, which includes: Dave Botista, Stephen Yun and Zoe Cravitz.
