The number of handling containers increased by 13.61% during March 2025

The ports, supervised by the Ports Ports Authority “Ports” during the month of March 2025 AD, achieved an increase in the number of handling containers by 13.61% to reach 699,928 standard containers compared to 616,079 standard containers in the same period last year 2024 AD.
It achieved an increase of 31.82% to 280,341 standard containers compared to 212,672 standard containers, and it also achieved an increase in the number of containers received by 7.78% to reach 281,216 standard containers compared to 260,912 standards, and recorded a decrease of 2.89% to 138,371 containers, compared to 142,495 containers of the year the past.

Connection statistics

The total folds of the handling of “general goods, solid bells, and liquid liquid goods” increased by 8.69% to reach 21,181,246 tons compared to 19,488,335 tons with the same period last year, and the total general goods reached 971,850 tons, and the crucial goods are 4,515,924 tons, Liquid goods are 15,693,472 tons, and ports received 870,566 livestock, a decrease of 9.42% compared to 961,131 cattle heads of last year.

Navigation movement ratios

The navigational movement increased by 6.75% to 1,044 ships, compared to 978 ships in the same period similar to last year, and the number of passengers increased by 35.45% to reach 84,665 passengers, compared to 62,507 of last year, and the number of cars increased by 33.50% to reach 90,271 cars, compared to 67,620 cars last year.
It is noteworthy that during the month of February 2025, “Ports” achieved an increase in the number of containers issued by 18.25% to 215,491 standard containers, compared to 182,229 standard containers, with the similar period of last year 2024 AD, and the number of passengers increased by 37.85% to 93,400 passengers, compared to 67,754 of last year.
