The UAE receives the US Energy Minister

The UAE is receiving US Energy Minister Chris Wright, on his first official foreign visit since he assumed his duties, to be the first station in his regional tour in the Middle East.
This step comes after a successful visit by a high -level Emirati delegation to the American capital, Washington, last March, during which the two sides confirmed their joint commitment to strengthening bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, especially in the fields of energy, infrastructure, manufacturing and artificial intelligence.
“We are pleased to receive Chris Wright in the UAE as part of his first international visit since he assumed his duties, after the successful meetings conducted by the Emirates delegation headed by His Highness Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler Abu Dhabi, National Security Adviser, in the American capital, Washington.
He added that this visit embodies the strength and depth of strategic relations between the two friendly countries, and their joint commitment to ensuring energy security, enhancing economic growth, and supporting technological development, pointing out that the UAE focuses on strengthening constructive and quality partnerships, including its firm partnership with the United States based on mutual respect, common interests, and a commitment to advance growth and progress.
Al -Jaber pointed out that there are great opportunities to enhance cooperation in vital sectors that include energy, infrastructure, artificial intelligence and industry, especially in light of the convergence of views on the necessity of adopting a positive and comprehensive approach in the energy sector, in a way that ensures the abundance of its supplies and the diversity of its sources, and enhancing the benefit of tools and solutions of artificial intelligence, providing new opportunities that stimulate investment, supporting the energy sector, and contribute to enabling individuals and societies.
For his part, US Energy Minister Chris Wright said: “I look forward to making my first visit to the UAE as Minister of Energy, and I would like to thank His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, may God protect him, and His Highness Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, the National Security Adviser, for their generous invitation.”
He added: «fruitful talks with Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al -Jaber in the capital Washington and Houston on the established partnership between the United States and the UAE in the energy sector, and we will continue during my visit to our discussions to enhance strategic relations between our two friendly countries, support the investments that the UAE recently announced in America, and contribute to enhancing global energy security.”
Al -Jaber and Rait will host the Council of Future Leadership in the Energy Sector, which brings together a number of young Emirati and American leaders, and the Council will highlight the commitment of the two countries joint to develop the talents of the next generation to contribute to the reformulation of the future of the energy sector in the world.
The visit emphasizes the joint vision between the UAE and the United States, which focuses on the importance of ensuring energy supplies, diversifying its sources to support the growth of the industrial sector, and developing tools and solutions of artificial intelligence.
