"Simulation Laboratory" The Sharjah Learning Difficulty Center wins the Sustainable Education Award

Sharjah, April 10/ WAM/ The Sharjah Center for Learning Difficulties won the Sustainable Education Award at its first session in the “Distinguished Project” category, for his project “Laboratory Simulation of Learning Difficulties”, in an achievement that highlights the center’s efforts in supporting and empowering individuals with learning difficulties, and enhancing the quality of comprehensive education in the Emirate of Sharjah.
Her Excellency Sheikha Jamila bint Muhammad Al Qasimi, President of the Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services, stressed that the center’s victory reflects the strategic vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, in enabling people with learning difficulties, noting that the project represents a qualitative shift in the methodology of supporting this group by adopting innovative and sustainable educational solutions.
Her Excellency explained that the “Simulation of Learning Simulation Laboratory” project contributes to enhancing the capabilities of teachers, parents and specialists to understand students’ needs and develop effective educational and qualifying strategies, which enables them to overcome challenges and achieve excellence.
For its part, His Excellency Dr. Hanadi Al -Suwaidi, Director of the Sharjah Center for Learning Difficulties, expressed her pride in winning the award that embodies the center’s vision in providing a comprehensive educational and qualifying environment, and enabling individuals with learning difficulties to achieve their capabilities and participate effectively in society.
She added that the “Simulation Laboratory” project is one of the most prominent initiatives launched by the Center to change the misconceptions associated with learning difficulties, through an interactive experience that highlights the daily challenges faced by students, and enhances society’s awareness of the role of educational and psychological support.
The “Simulation of Learning Difficulties” Simulation Laboratory is a unique project, which allows participants from teachers, parents and specialists to take practical experiences that simulate the reality of students with learning difficulties in reading and writing, with the aim of developing their educational skills and enhancing their ability to provide appropriate support.
It is noteworthy that the award is organized by the Regional Center for Educational Planning in Sharjah – under the supervision of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) – and aims to highlight the leading educational models in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and Yemen, within the regional efforts to achieve the fourth goal of sustainable development goals, which is to ensure good, fair and comprehensive education for all.
The award honors innovative and sustainable educational projects in two main categories: the “distinguished project” and “the distinguished applied project”, and seeks to consolidate the concepts of innovation and the quality of life in education, and enhance the exchange of experiences between educational institutions in the region.
