The Al -Shifa Summit for Integrative Medicine is launched during the Abu Dhabi International Health Week 2025

The opening session of the healing summit for integrative medicine, the global platform concerned with promoting complementary medicine and increasing awareness of traditional and complementary medicine, will be held through evidence -based practices and policy -based dialogues, and promotion of international cooperation, from 15 to 17 April 2025 at the Denyk Abu Dhabi Center, among the activities of the Abu Dhabi International Health Week, one of the main government initiatives of the Health Department – Abu Dhabi, which represents the platform For innovation and cooperation, this year is held under the slogan “Towards a long life: a new concept of health and wellness.”
The summit will bring together a group of experts, decision makers, health care pioneers, academics, researchers, innovators and practitioners, through a set of interactive experiences, strategic dialogues and constructive partnerships, to achieve the goals of the summit in exchanging knowledge, formulating policies and exploring the latest innovations that integrate traditional, complementary and complementary medicine (TCIM). The summit also aims to highlight the ancient heritage of the UAE in traditional medicine, with a focus on aspects of governance, scientific research, education and investment and enhancing opportunities to reach safe and effective treatment paths and provide them with patients.
Dr. Asame Al -Mannai, Executive Director of the Research and Innovation Center at the Health Department – Abu Dhabi said: “The Al -Shifa Summit for Integration Medicine represents an important station in the march of the United Arab Emirates towards enhancing comprehensive health care centered around the patient and draws inspiration from our traditional heritage. Especially in providing safe and effective therapeutic paths for patients. We also aim to raise societal and professional awareness in this growing field, and to enhance the areas of cooperation in research and education, providing wider opportunities to integrate this approach with the health care system.
Summit program
The program will be opened with opening words and a major word delivered by His Excellency Mansour Al -Mansouri, Head of the Health Department – Abu Dhabi, to highlight the importance of integrative medicine and pave the way for the constructive dialogue on which the summit is based.
The summit will continue for three days, an interactive business schedule that contains discussion rings of importance, interactive platforms and cultural shows that offer a comprehensive view of the role of traditional, complementary and complementary medicine (TCIM) in the health care system.
The summit will also witness a presentation by Dr. Kim Song Chaoul, head of the Traditional, Complementary and Intensational Medicine Unit at the World Health Organization, through which he reviews global strategies to integrate this type of medical care into national health care frameworks.
Dialogue sessions
Dialogue sessions will highlight the latest developments in the field of integrative medicine, including organizational frameworks and governance, evidence -based practices, research and innovation, as well as the development of workforce and education. The sessions will also deal with important topics, such as enhancing consumer confidence and the benefits of improving lifestyle, spreading awareness and highlighting the history of traditional medicine in the United Arab Emirates.
Knowledge exchange forums
Knowledge exchange forums provide a cooperative space that brings together business leaders and academics to exchange best integrative medicine practices and review the latest developments in this field. This space will focus on the aspects of the workforce, education, research and innovative solutions, and educate practitioners and consumers.
These forums offer interactive and explanatory shows of the latest research and visions that deal with the workforce and education for traditional, complementary and complementary medicine (TCIM), and provides valuable opportunities to communicate with the pioneers of the field and the main stakeholders in integrative medicine.
Interactive experiments in the world of traditional treatment
This coordinated exhibition offers a unique experience that surrounds the composition of the falaj, and the exhibition highlights the medicinal plants that extend in the exhibition on a journey to explore the history of traditional medicine, review its practices, and introduce local therapists, to give a forward -looking look to the future of integrative medicine.
